Tyndal M. Jones, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN and the founder of Signature Women’s Healthcare. Dr. Jones provides comprehensive medical and wellness care to women at Signature’s offices in Lithonia and Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Dr. Jones was born at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. During high school, she developed an interest in human anatomy and physiology, which led her to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Texas, El Paso.
As a registered nurse, Dr. Jones first worked at R.E. Thomason General Hospital (now called University Medical Center) in El Paso, then enlisted in the US Army Nurse Corps as an active duty nurse. During her first year, she completed an intensive, five-month OB/GYN specialty course for nurses at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, graduating at the top of her class.
After fulfilling her military commitment, Dr. Jones moved to the Atlanta area. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at Morehouse School of Medicine, again graduating at the top of her class, and then completed her OB/GYN residency at Emory University School of Medicine. After working for the Georgia Center for Female Health, she opened Signature Women’s Healthcare in 2003.
Dr. Jones is committed to offering exemplary, compassionate, comprehensive health care to female patients, beginning at adolescence. She provides obstetric care, delivers babies, performs in-office and hospital-based surgical procedures, and diagnoses and treats other conditions, including menstrual disorders and infertility.
